Biking on roads around Pensionat Söderåsen is very nice, and there are routes to suit all, from families with children who want to see farm animals and having nice picnics to sucking long slopes on the hills of Söderåsen for those of you who want to be sweating a bit on the bike. The property features “Rönneådalen Skåne’s nordvästpassage” bicycles, bicycle trailer, children saddles and semi-bikes for rent. Loans of bicycle helmets is of course included . We are happy to lend you a map with suggested bike rides. On “Rönneådelen-Skåne nordvästpassags” website you will find a lot of tips on destinations, nice theme routes and descriptions of nature in the Rönneå Valley and can be helped to find new favorite places.
If you’re coming on your own bike, you can keep it locked in here at night, and our breakfast buffet is guaranteed to make your energy last for the long runs on Söderåsen if you are here to exercise.
The trail “Skåneleden” passes Skäralid (700m away) and takes you on a walk from “ridge to ridge.” The trail can be combined with other parts of Skåneleden. Beautiful forests, dramatic gorges, streams and meadows. Nature here is stunningly beautiful. In the National Park there are several trails of various lengths and degrees of difficulty. On the old railway line between Klippan and Ljungbyhed there is now a chance to ride trolley bikes. The distance between the villages is measuring 6.5 km so the total ride is 13 km, and you can ride at a pace that suits you. There are places along the rail that are perfect for a stop with a picnic. The river Rönne å runs quite close to us, and it is a popular river for canoeing. The landscape that you paddle through is just beautiful and very peaceful. Riding / Trail riding
To go trail riding in Söderåsen’s beautiful slopes and beech forests is an amazing experience! The tours are available in many different lengths and routes, and there is of course the possibility to adapt the difficulty level after your sculls and experience. www.turridning.se.
In the northern parts of Skåne there are many fine lakes with great fishing, among others Odensjön, Sorrödssjöarna and Klåverödsdammen. Even the river Rönne å is popular for fishing.
Try something new, try summer toboggan. It’s a fast-paced and exhilarating experience for both young and old.
In Kungsbygget, in southern Halland, you have the opportunity to experience the thrill of speed. One need not be a toboggan expert to give it a go , all you have to do is follow the rules.
You decide the pace yourself – the speed control allows you to slow down or speed up the toboggan. After a few rides, you are a professional toboggan racer. The path wending its way down, several hundred meters (935) through the beautiful woods and meadows.
